This plant grows naturally in north/central Mexico in the states of Coahuila, Durango, Nuevo León, San Luis Potosí, Tamaulipas, and Zacatecas. Beautiful green/blue stems with straw-like golden spines. Related to Ferocactus and often seen hybridized as Ferobergia. Bright yellow flowers.
