This plant is endemic of the Great Karoo, south of Graaff-Reinet in the Eastern Cape, South Africa. E. obesa aredioecious, meaning they haveseparate male and female plants. Starts out globular, with age will become a short cylinder shape. Typically solitary, may or may not offset in cultivation. Awesome tones of green and purple with chevron like patterns.
